Blepharoplasty is also known as an eyelid lift. The procedure is usually done on the upper and/or lower eyelids to rejuvenate the eye area. It can correct the problem of heavy folds of skin on the upper eyelids, as well as bags under the eyes. Excess skin over the eyes can often impair vision, especially in older individuals.
Dr. Loeffler will remove extra fatty tissue and skin, in order to reshape the upper and lower eyelids. The procedure is done on an outpatient basis, usually under local anesthesia.
